Since I was a young girl I always loved to organize my closets, rearrange my bedroom and tap into my creative energy. When I went away to college I was probably one of very few who had made their own matching artwork to hang on their dorm wall. Of course it coordinated with my comforter! Throughout the years I have enjoyed entertaining and decorating, often helping friends faux paint their homes, repurposing furniture and even helping small business owners implement design into their storefronts. Creating inviting spaces is something I have always been good at. I didn’t know much about home staging until the HGTV era. But right away I knew I could do it!
Building a vision to begin a home staging business in Long Beach
In 2013 I read a book about Gifts and Destiny that prompted me to make a vision board. I included a long time love of interior decorating and my goal of starting my own business providing home staging in Orange County and Los Angeles County. I included pictures that represented all things of the home staging business I was manifesting. I also included pictures of travel and grandchildren. I set my vision board on the wall next to my bed where I could see it each day.
Fast forward to 2015, the home next door to mine was being flipped in Long Beach. I watched as the work progressed and one morning I noticed the realtor/investor drive up. I kept thinking “This is your chance..GO!” I think I walked to the door and backed away three times…finally I said a quick prayer and went outside to introduce myself. I explained how I wanted to begin my real estate staging career and offered him a deal if he took a chance on me. He told me to send over my portfolio…what portfolio? I took him by the hand and told him I would show him my portfolio..LIVE……my own home! After 3 minutes in my home he extended his hand and said ‘You have a deal”.
A week later I literally had my adult kids begrudgingly helping me in the dark carry my entire living room over to the house. I took what he paid me and bought some inventory and made it happen. That house sold in one weekend for 40k over asking. I ended up staging over 35 homes for this realtor in the next 2 years and continue to work for him today providing the best home staging in Long Beach.
Known for my caring, comprehensive approach, many realtors see me as a great liaison between them and their clients - especially when we are called upon to stage an occupied home. This preserves the client/agent relationship while relying on my home staging consultant expertise to make the decisions that show the home at its very best. We also stage vacant homes and often provide design suggestions when a house is being reimagined or even completely renovated prior to sale.

In 2021, I had to make a new vision board with a warehouse, moving truck and assistant. In May 2022 we moved into our very own two story warehouse providing the best real estate home staging in Orange and LA Counties. We continue to check things off of that new vision board. The moving truck is coming soon! The grandchildren and vacations haven’t happened yet, but in due time, right?
